Been awhile
Not alot going on really gang, lots of busy work at home. The in the wall 24,000 BTU air conditioner at my place had to be angled in such a way that the water would run a little faster out the back. For 2 years it has worked fine. Now when it rained hard (Before we fixed it today) the AC unit would be filled with water hampering it’s operation. My son’s and I cut all the silicone caulk out of the frame, unscrewed the frame from the header and jacks, pulled the lower half into the house about 2 inches then moved the bar on the underside with custom drilled holes. We then rested the top on the header, the bottom customized bar on the bottom plate and screwed it in fast with 2 1/2 inch course thread decking screws. The inside side of the shell that accepts the insert is secured with 3 of the decking screws as well, on each side. We then slid the monster back into the shell from inside the house, let it rest for an hour and kicked it over. It has not worked so efficently since it was new 2 years ago. But this is a computer hardware, gaming, old guy ranting type blog so I will spare you any further distress other than to say that now my AC is flawless.
I have been pricing out a new box for gaming. Looking at the Abit NI8 SLI NVIDIA nForce 4 board because the board packs so much for so little money. That board coupled with a Pentium D 805 and 2 6800’s in SLI mode, two 16 meg cache 250 Gig SATA drives in RAID 0 should do the trick for me. The only thing that sucks about it is I have to buy new ram. I can buy one graphics card with the board and one later when I have the extra cash to spend.
