Today I am working on my bathroom. The kids crank way too hard on the shower diverter for some reason and have striped it out. What I have to go through to replace this one piece of hardware is nothing short of amazing. I had to remove all the hardware on the outside, the wallboard off the frame, clean up the studs, cut 2 copper pipes and un-screw the rest just to get it out. To get it back in will require soldering etc. All because someone else is careless. Makes you want to run right out and have kids don’t it? Heh.

This is my self appointed break. The wife I sent to Home Depot to buy a whole new setup instead of replacing the one valve because there is no replacement for it at any of the local hardware stores or Home depot. When I have to repeatly work this hard at keeping my bathroom immaculate it makes me threaten to “Leave it that way for a long time”. But I can’t. It makes me crazy to have something not fuctioning properly when I have the know how and money to fix it.

Anyways, more this evening when I settle in for a few games.

I need to quit smoking cigarettes. It’s the only vice I have left to beat, and it’s a bear of a habit to kick. This is most likely why it has been held off this long. I don’t drink, “Party” or take drugs so once I do quit I should be spared alot of the ailements most people my age have because of these nasty habits. Of course I have smoked for 30 years so if there is any permament damage I have only myself to blame.

Threatening to quit, saying I will quit, making half hearted attempts at quitting has brought me to this place of resolve to actually quit for real this time, cold turkey. I will begin Monday with a big breakfest and alot of anxiety.
