Service and phones

Filed under: Tech — trunkneck @ 4:08 am

What I cannot stand is when I go into a store or a service center etc to buy something or have a vehicle serviced, having taken the time and effort to show up at the place of business, be in the middle of a purchase/negotiation when the phone rings and the person I am having this exchange with answers the phone and any number of questions the person calling has while I wait! I mean really, I am right there in front of them, spending my hard earned dough only to be ignored and held up while they chit chat on the phone with this other person who is NOT buying anything, nor did they take the time to visit their store front and fork over cash, but merely as an after thought picked the phone up to “inquire” about this or that.

Right at about anything past 20 seconds I walk, I have even taken my cash right out of the hands of cashiers because they have paused between the cash register and the phone to answer it. There should be front desks/customer service areas, clerks, office people or an automatic hold after three rings. Anything would be a better way to handle this situation then making a paying customer wait. It’s bad enough you have to wait in line let alone having to deal with this bilge.

I have a LAN Party coming up at a friends house very soon that should be the hottest LAN I’ve been to for some time now. There are “Pro” players coming, our clan SuperNOVA, FS clan, someone that has been a long time friend is flying in from Washington state. He moved out that way after scoring a job with Microsoft in Redmond WA. Very talented young man that has worked hard to get where he is at. (Cheers XOD).

Hope everyone is doing well, I do have a few shout outs: Major George filer, Brian from Berlin, Gordon, Christine and RailKrazy. Yo!

Only time will vindicate the believers.

Trunk out.

LOL. Which one do you mean? NE’ster? Doubtful. If the LXG forget that on principle alone. If it’s anything out of state such as NE’ster (Checked link and it is) I can hang that up because of the time involved. Monday thru Saturday work schedule. I went to Brian’s LAN because I could show up sat. night and still have a seat, not that far to travel etc.

I won’t see entire weekends off until summer at the earliest.

Great to see you on the page though. Love to stop in on you sometime in the next few weeks for a drink or whatever. In case you have not noticed you have contributor status, feel free to use it.
    Trunk out.
