During my time at home tonight kicking back for awhile I was remembering the last LAN I had attended, because I ran across the lanyard and attendance tag for the LAN party in a black nylon bag I carry all my Lanning gear in. As LANs go it was fun enough, I however did not get to stay the entire length of the party because work took my Friday night and Saturday from AM to early afternoon which left me only Saturday night to Early Sunday morning as opposed to Friday through Sunday.
The GXL is a great group of people from 3 different LAN orgs Gods/XP/LANsynergy. I was one of the original organizers being a part of the one LAN org LANsynergy when we had a 512 man LAN in millville NJ at which I MC’d and had a kick ass time. I would highly reccomend anyone to go to a GXL LAN because of a couple decent reasons. One reason would be they have been doing this for a long time and head off the problems you usually see at less professional LAN org Parties BEFORE they happen, and in my opinion at the planning stages these mistakes are made. Like a horrible network, bad power distribution causing black outs and OMG have you seen the bathroom? Hehehe. This won’t happen with the GXL, all their LANs are held at the Millville rescue squad’s headquarters which is a huge modern facility and all the proceeds benefit the rescue squad which is an added bonus. As I said, check’em out if you can get down to Millville for a LAN because I think the GXL has a 256 man LAN coming up very soon.
