Yes, they went and done it. The Wachowski Brothers are making a film called “Speed Racer“! All that came to mind when I heard this news is, “it’s about time”. I was reading my daily Slashdot when I came across this small blurb about it. I hit Google right away and blam there’s the truth of it. My boyhood hero returns on the big screen filmed with a totally new camera that is supposed to be like nothing ever seen before. “A revolutionary way of filming” was one quote. It seems there is alot of blue screen filming involved with this new top secret camera (It arrived on set with security guards people) and because of this it extends the filming/editing time adding expense to be sure, but if it is as ground breaking as “The Matrix” then I and everyone else should be in for a great treat.

Speaking of “The Matrix”, one of the stars in that film Keanu Reeves will be starring in a remake of the film called “The day the earth stood still“. One of the oldest Sci-Fi flicks available. This is another film I look forward to. I remember seeing this film on the ABC Sunday afternoon movies as a kid. Was a fantastic flick then and still is. You can view it for free VIA the link above. This I think is due to the wake left by a very successful remake of “War of the Worlds” starring Tom Cruise.

This is one of those mornings when I feel like doing nothing during the course of the whole day. I must though, or my job might go out the window. (Big deal?) I used to have a life, all about technology, LAN parties, friends and family. Now I have work. There is something to be said for work but the words elude me because I am “not feeling it” today if you get me…. I want my life back. In 30 minutes I am supposed to walk into a hostile enviorment that’s stifling hot, humid, unforgiving (Possible injuries), loud and full of an ethinic group that mistrusts caucasians. I can handle the latter, it’s just an added bonus of the job. (Chuckles).

Enough of the pish posh, work calls. I will be posting on a more frequent basis now so please do stop in and check out the changes to be made on the site soon.

Only time will vindicate the believers.
